Welcome to the new Luiseño School web site. As you browse through our links, you will find a variety of information about our learning community. Our school is named after a tribe of local Native Americans and opened in 1991 with 300 children. We have been expanding from a K-5 to a K-8 school over the past 5 year. Although we have almost 1000 students we continue to maintain our culture of a closely knit, caring community.
Our vision focuses on developing positive character and academic achievement in each of our students. The character values we emphasize at Luiseño through our ROAR program are: Respect, Organization, Attitude and Responsibility. Teachers work diligently to help all students achieve the outcomes of the Common Core Sate Standards by addressing individual needs and learning styles. Every member of the staff demonstrates a commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement. Each year our vision becomes a stronger reality as teachers work in collaborative teams and involve parents and community in the education process.
Every year since the onset of California Standards and Accountability, Luiseño has exceeded its school-wide growth target without compromising its commitment to a creative and engaging environment. We focus on the whole child with physical, social and emotional development programs that includes our students TK through 8th Grade in the school-wide improvement process.
I am honored to be the new principal of Luiseño School. Having been raised and educated in the Lake Elsinore Valley I have had the pleasure of seeing this community grow and blossom into the wonderful place that it is today. The support that I have received from staff, students, parents and community members is overwhelming. I am truly blessed to be a part of the Luiseño School Family.
After you have browsed our new web site, we invite you to visit our beautiful campus in person. I look forward to meeting you!
