When students arrive late to class, they miss out on valuable instruction time, and cause a disruption in their classroom. Effective 10/3/2022, Luiseños unexcused tardy policy will be updated as follows:
Grades TK-5th
After the 5th tardy per semester, parent is notified by email or phone call.
After the 10th tardy per semester, administration will contact parent to discuss a possible solution to get student to school on time.
After the 20th tardy per school year, parent will be scheduled for a School Attendance Review Team (SART) meeting.
Grades 6-8
TARDY COUNT INCLUDES ALL PERIODS IN THE SCHOOL DAY
After the 5th tardy per semester, parent is notified by email.
After the 10th tardy and every 5th tardy thereafter, per semester, parent is notified by email and student will receive lunch detention with a teacher and will complete a writing assignment.
After 30 tardies per school year, parent and student will be scheduled for a School Attendance Review Team (SART) meeting.
