All LEUSD schools will be open on Monday, December 3!
The season's first storm to trigger debris flow and related mandatory evacuations ended on Friday, November 30, as evacuation orders were lifted in all Holy burn scar areas.
The four district schools that were temporarily closed as a result of evacuations and weather conditions are undamaged and will reopen Monday: Rice Canyon ES, Withrow ES, Luiseno School, and Terra Cotta MS.
Going into the week of December 3, emergency officials will continue to monitor future rainfall predictions. Of course, the district will keep you informed if storm conditions next week require any changes to regular school day, childcare, and afterschool ThinkTogether schedules.
We want to thank LEUSD employees, students and their families, and all first responders for their handling of the November storm incident. Your cooperation and understanding is greatly appreciated!
